I really like my iPad, but I don’t think I’d take it to a meeting with the President. Spike Lee, on the other hand, LOVES his iPad. He loves it so much that he practically made it a supporting character in his upcoming movie Red Hook Summer.
A middle-class boy from Atlanta finds his worldview changed as he spends the summer with his deeply religious grandfather in the housing projects of Red Hook, Brooklyn. (IMDB)
The trailer at times feels like an Apple ad from a developers conference, containing 5 separate scenes where either an iPad or iMac are shown. One scene also includes a FaceTime conversation for Pete’s sake! The only thing good going for this film is the inclusion of Clarke Peters, better known for playing Lestor Freemon on HBO’s The Wire.
A drinking game based on taking a shot for every apple product placement would probably leave you comatose…
